With everyone leaving town, Charlie makes Luke the new partner in his furniture factory to give him support and to Daphne and little Diana while Charlie and Kirsten, expecting their first child, move into a new house with Owen to start anew and set the next stage for their new lives together. He tries to help a homeless man at the restaurant find a job and place to live, but later learns that it was all a waste because the homeless man suffers from the exact same mental illness as Kirsten.
