By catching the reruns of the Jamie Foxx show its about time he got his break. Everyone always gave a good performance, the production design was spectacular, the costumes were well-designed, and the writing was always very strong. By mistake, Jamie passionately kisses Fancy, who hides the fact that she actually enjoys it. Impressed with Jamie, Charles promises to help his career by introducing him to powerful people. Jamie later agrees to perform with Nicole again after they are asked back for another gig. Jamie proves to the court that she is faking by saying that her dance moves are horrendous and she gets up and dances to prove that's a lie, exposing her as a scammer. Then towards the end Jamie's crush turn into full bloom love and him and Braxton becoming trustworthy friends.
Jamie must compete with a smitten Ice Cube for Fancy's affection. Overall, each character helped make the show to a very successful one. When Fancy refuses to be his date, Jamie invites another woman, Chante, to make Fancy jealous. Then he meets a woman named Nancy, who seems to have much in common with Fancy. Meanwhile, Fancy goes after a rich new client for the hotel. When Jamie catches up with the girls and their new friends at another bash, his big mouth leads to an athletic challenge.
Proclaiming her love for her husband, Helen rebuffs Charles, but Charles persists, trying to get her to betray Junior. I'll never forget that one episode when he thought Silace was cheating on Fancy. Thrilled, Jamie convinces Charles to stay in the hotel for a few days, then witnesses Charles making romantic advances to Helen. Jamie finally ruins his career opportunities to expose Charles' behavior. Air Date : 6th-Nov-1996 Jamie is jealous when Fancy's smooth-talking ex-boyfriend Kenneth sweeps into the hotel flashing plenty of cash -- and a diamond ring.
Thrilled, Jamie convinces Charles to stay in the hotel for a few days, then witnesses Charles making romantic advances to Helen. However, Fancy and Chante wear identical costumes. It seems like Jamie Foxx is a hot commodity in the entertainment industry. His character was so convincing that he could get away with anything he pleased since he was just a bellhop who moved up in the business with his uncle and aunt at the Kings Tower Hotel. Because Jamie Foxx is the main character of the show and really do love him. Man, this show takes me back! Every episode makes me literally laugh out loud. The Jamie Foxx show was too funny for words.
However, I think it was always funny when a mishap occurred. But Nelson quickly figures out that Jamie is exploiting him to attract Fancy, and sets out to make Jamie's life hellish by stealing various items from around the hotel -- computer files, Junior's fine Cuban cigars and Fancy's diary--and letting Jamie take the blame. This show isn't just funny, but it shows a lot of talent which Jamie can sing and also it shows that he caring and he is there when you need a friend. There is never a dull moment throughout the entire 5 seasons. Uncle Junior King played by the great Garret Morris was also hilarious as Jamie's cheap-skate uncle.
Her fake Asian accent was horrible. Jamie must think fast to save Junior's surprise. But Nelson quickly figures out that Jamie is exploiting him to attract Fancy, and sets out to make Jamie's life hellish by blackmailing him and stealing various items from around the hotel: computer files, Junior's fine Cuban cigars and Fancy's diary. Nevertheless, this show is the bomb. I'm glad the show finished and didn't get canceled. If you ask me, it was nice that all of the main characters had stayed with the show throughout its entire run. But Jamie unwisely tastes one of the pies to find out why they are so popular, he eats the next day's entire order one after another.
Smith ; Helen and Junior learn that honesty isn't always the best policy. Attempting to ignore the condescending hotel accountant, Braxton P. When Jamie learns that Fancy loves children, he tries to impress her by becoming mentor to young Nelson, the most harmless-looking child Jamie could find. It feels like a bad excuse for a sitcom and after the first episode you'll watch it with a frown on your face. Jamie has amazing luck in a dice game.
I would say my favorite episode is when Jamie and Fancy got married. Jamie schemes with Junior to start a business selling Helen's popular sweet-potato pies and turns the hotel into a giant bakery, with Helen, Junior and Fancy helping to bake. Jamie must compete with a smitten Ice Cube for Fancy's affection. However, Fancy and Chante wear identical costumes. Jamie was already in the entertainment industry long before his star status rocketed after the biopic movie Ray. I always laughed at that. Thrilled, Jamie convinces Charles to stay in the hotel for a few days -- then witnesses Charles making romantic advances to Helen.
Then, with the hotel a complete mess due to the party, Jamie learns that Helen and Junior are returning home early. In order to really love this show as much as I, you have to like Jamie's witty, silly, wild, slap-stick and sometimes corny sense of humor. The show was light-hearted and at times silly but that was his character. Meanwhile, Gloria tries to get a promotion to head of housekeeping. This show is one of my favorites. Jamie must think fast to save Junior's surprise. If you want to laugh out loud, then I suggest you check out the Jamie Foxx show.
